The first Slovak cookbook on Indian cuisine
In 2024, IKAR – the biggest publishing house in Slovakia approached me with an offer to jointly publish a cookbook, the likes of which has not yet been published in Slovakia. In it, I try to give you not only recipes, but also knowledge about the origin of food, important spices and Ayurvedic tips.
I prepared the recipes in the book so that you can cook delicious Indian food “according to Shrey” in a regular Slovak kitchen with just a little preparation.
MumBhai Central – the best rated Indian restaurant in Slovakia
My first restaurant. The big dream that my family and I worked long and hard on became a reality in 2022. At Miletičová 71 in Bratislava, we offer quick lunches, slow dinners, and my favorite tasting menu.
I am particularly proud of the fact that in 2023 we received the Wolt customer service award “Best Indian” as the best rated Indian restaurant in Slovakia.
MumBhai Express – The first Indian food truck in Slovakia
In 2018, I managed to start the MumBhai brand in the form of a cheerful, colorful foodtruck that you cannot miss at a festival or street food, thanks to the decorations and especially the rich smell of Indian spices.
Unlike the usual standard between most trailers stands, we do not use any pre-packed food, artificial colours or flavourings, and we prepare the food like at home.
I am happy that we can represent India among other world cuisines at major events and festivals in Slovakia.
Catering for the Embassy of India in Slovakia
From 2021, my team and I have the honor of hosting official events of the Indian Embassy.
It gives me great pleasure that Mrs. Ambassador Apoorva Srivastava gives us the opportunity to spread the good name of India in front of domestic and foreign guests from the point of view of India and Slovakia.
Courses and Workshops
Since 2019, I have led several workshops and courses in both eastern and western Slovakia. I myself was very pleasantly surprised by how many people in Slovakia want to try making homemade Indian cheese, mixing spices, or cooking our great sauces and other authentic dishes.
The largest course I have conducted – with the International Women’s Club in Bratislava
The International Women’s Club in Bratislava spreads the motto of friendship and connecting cultures. Its members are ladies from Slovakia and abroad who jointly organize charitable activities and support disadvantaged groups in society.
In 2022, I was approached with the idea of conducting a cooking course in Indian cuisine, and I had the honor of leading 30 participants from 19 different countries.
